When making yellow tea, after lightly roasting the tea leaves, they are wrapped in paper, where they can be kept closed even for several days, causing the buds to turn yellow and the tea to develop a distinctive, exciting scent. As a process, it is a lighter, non-enzymatic oxidation, quite similar to that used in the production of darker teas.
