Premium Shohokuen Matcha from Uji, Japan’s Oldest Tea-Growing Region
This first-class, velvety-smooth Shohokuen matcha comes from Uji, Japan’s oldest and most renowned tea-growing area. It is a top-quality matcha, ideal for traditional tea ceremonies and for true matcha connoisseurs.
Made from the finest shade-grown green tea leaves, this matcha is finely ground using traditional stone mills. The result is a pure, rich, and naturally sweet matcha that offers a refined and well-balanced tasting experience.
This matcha comes from the Shohokuen family estate, which has been producing green tea for over 300 years, passing down valuable tea-making traditions from generation to generation.
Preparation tip:
Rinse the matcha bowl and bamboo whisk (chasen) with hot water. Sift 1 teaspoon of matcha into the bowl and add approximately 80 ml of water at about 80 °C (176 °F). Whisk thoroughly until the tea becomes smooth and velvety.
Each tin contains 30 g of matcha powder. Store opened tin in the refrigerator.
